GHI to unite the aviation community for the first time since the pandemic struck at the 22nd Annual to address a time of unprecedented challenges

GHI’s Annual Conference in Copenhagen this November will provide a crucial opportunity for stricken aviation operators to reconnect and work collaboratively to pull through the Covid crisis, industry leaders have recommended.

Conducting face-to-face networking in a safe environment was a critical first step towards the sector’s recovery in 2021 according to decision makers at airlines, ground handlers and suppliers.

Carm Borg, President & CEO, Global Aviation Services said:  “While Covid-19 has had an unprecedented impact on our industry, now is an even more important time to host this event as the landscape of the industry changes before us.”

Christophe Deloux, International Procurement Manager, Air France added: “I am fully supporting the event which is crucial for our daily business and even more today with the Covid situation. It helps the entire airline industry to connect each other, to better understand the situation and to tackle all together as one team the emerging issues in front of us. Face to face interaction is an invaluable opportunity.”

The Conference marks the first opportunity for the aviation sector to come together and debate a blueprint for recovery in 2021.

The decision to host the Annual follows a GHI delegate survey, which revealed 75% of industry professionals felt it was important to the sector that we proceed as planned this year. GHI has published a special GHI Manifesto, which addresses delegate feedback received in a survey on running this year’s Annual.

Max Gosney, GHI Conference Chairman said: “Thank you for your support and we will now focus on doing everything within our power to deliver the productive and safe conference experience you would like to see.”
